Offshore Oil Platform Project Proves Flexibility

Offshore Oil Platform Project Proves Flexibility

Electrastar have now completed a project that has highlighted the strength and depth of the services that Electrastar can provide. Electrastar's main strength is the ability to carry out quality Fibre Optic works in any environment. Director, Lee Harrison said "The offshore project which was on an the BP Bruce oil platform which is 400Km north east of Aberdeen is testimony to our capabilities".

The project was in partnership with Yokogawa (UK)Ltd. Electrastar's involvement was to terminate and commission the new Fibre Optic Infrastructure for the Control Improvement programme on the platform.

Commissioning Supervisor for Yokogawa, Sid Currie said "Nothing but good things to say about Electrastar as they did a first class job for Yokogawa on the BP Bruce".

"The work involved fusing splicing and terminating a multi core fire optic network across three linked platforms offshore in the North Sea. The contract went out to tender at short notice and all vendors were required to comply with special environmental conditions. Electrastar responded promptly and professionally to all requests at short notice. All documentation requested in support of their tender was delivered in a professional and timely manner. Their standard of workmanship was excellent and due to their dilligence and professionalism they finished the work scope ahead of schedule".

"I bench marked Electrastar against other vendors we have previously used for work of this nature and they provided superior service and delivery in all areas".
