Electrastar have undertaken a major operation with one of their key Hull based clients, Arco Ltd. Arco is the UK's leading supplier of personal protective equipment, workwear and workplace safety products. As such it is widely recognised as a provider of expert advice, services and safety solutions for businesses in every market sector. Founded in 1884, the Hull-based, 4th generation family business has an expanding 40-strong branch network and over 110,00 customers. Recent investment saw the North East regional office in Blaydon, Newcastle, undergo a complete refurbishment in which Electrastar played a key part in making the major changes a success.
The project included moving the voice and data for around 50 users and their equipment including the trade shop and various peripherals such as credit card machines, touch screens and telephones. The move from the old site to the new was absolutely crucial to the business.
On how important the move was, Sean Churchill, Regional Sales Manager said "It is of paramount importance that our service level was not compromised and customer orders were fulfilled with no interruption. Electrastar enabled us to do this without any issues".
The old site closed down on a Friday evening and had to be fully operational and ready to trade at the new site by 8am on Monday morning. On the success of the move and Electrastar's part in it, Mike Farn, Senior Systems Engineer, said "The move was a complete success. Electrastar went above and beyond what was expected of them to help ensure that the project had a successful outcome."
On Arco, Rob Dixon, Managing Director of Electrastar said "I would highly recommend any business or individual using Arco. They are leading suppliers of health and safety and supply our business with all our PPE and other Health and Safety related products." "Our partnership with our client goes further than just being their contractor for Data, Fibre & Voice cabling. We have built up a great relationship over the years allowing us to fully understand their needs and react accordingly when we are required"
Arco's industry renowned annual Big Book was released in September featuring 924 pages of the best health and safety equipment available in today's market.
